Project Title:   Rooftop HVAC 

Owner:            City of Chester

Scope of Work: Administrative & Police Station 120 Church Street, Chester SC 29706

Demolition and Remove 2-existing rooftop HVAC units.

  1. Remove old return and supply air plenums.
  2. Terminate and remove all electrical disconnects and wiring.
  3. Incorrectly installed rooftop steel support structures.
  4. Remove existing exterior insulation and interior insulation tape, diffusers, and unapproved duct hangers.
  5. Disposed of to an approved landfill for disposal. 

Installation of new rooftop HVAC units.

  1. Install 2-new Rooftop HVAC unit of sized that properly that is designed for minimum supply of air supply for heat and air conditioning size based on Manual N and SMACNA for ducts and plenums for a two-story business occupancy.
  2. Install approved NEC 70 electrical disconnects with approved wiring and conduit.
  3. Install approved duct smoke detectors in accordance with 2021 SC ICC Mechanical/IGFC code.
  4. Install adequate size transition ducts and plenums, minimum duct insulation to prevent heat and air loss.
  5. All duct transition joints, duct connections, and diffusers must be sealed with approved duct sealant.
  6. A complete test and inspection must be performed of the system at final inspection before acceptance of the system. Is received.

All installations must meet or exceed the 2021 South Carolina ICC Building, Fire, Mechanical, IFGC Code SMACNA, ASHRA, ACCA, ANSI, ASTM, NFPA, and UL standards for manufacturing and safety standards. Bids shall be submitted within 60 days of official posting.
